Set in the Hohe Tauern National Park, on arriving to the resort it is hard not to feel the warmth and charm of this picturesque resort and the local people. The pretty traffic free village is dominated by the local attractive church which is surrounded by family run hotels, restaurants, shops and a few bars. Originally one of Europe’s most important gold mining areas the village is steeped in historic charm, but don’t be mislead, the resort has plenty to offer both skier and non skiers.
