We are a leading European Ecommerce Company based in Dublin 15 that specialise in Winter Holidays to the most popular European destinations. We operate a number of different sites or white labels across different European markets. Due to continued growth we are looking to hire a Senior Web Designer who is passionate about the digital world.
The position requires someone with excellent UI design skills and the technical ability to implement the design at the front end. The UIs are the central focus of the Senior Web Designer but he/she may also work on other design projects for the company (for example: website refresh, marketing materials, print design, etc.) either directly or in conjunction with external sources. The company is very dynamic and growing quickly. There is a lot of opportunity to advance and develop skills in different areas for the right person. We’re looking for the skills outlined below but also – and very importantly – imagination, creativity, initiative, a self-starter, enthusiasm and curiosity.
Key Purpose of Job:
To design beautiful user friendly websites following all best practices and usability principles, manage the complete implementation through a configuration application and hand code where required
Essential skills:
- 3+ years experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role
- Design highly creative visuals - create designs that make people stop in their tracks
- To be able to turn around designs at a fast pace and be able to consistently rethink template designs
- Write standard compliant HTML and CSS (preferably HTML5/CSS3) and enjoy getting hands on in code
- Rapid prototyping skills, web application experience, and experience developing UI's for international websites are a plus
- impressive track record of customer experience techniques and usability issues
- Great attention to details / ensure the quality of designs are maintained through product development and implementation
- to work on own initiative
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (customer service, marketing, product management, engineering, QA, etc.) to define product requirements and then convert these into balanced solutions to complex user, business and technical challenges
- Outstanding attention to detail
- A strong portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience and relevant, user-centred designs
Desirable skills:
- Familiar with and the ability to Monitor and analyse SEO performance and ensuring SEO practices are adhered to
- Familiarisation of Webmaster tools
- Experience of Link-building and improved performance of sites on SERPs
- Ensure Content team continuously create "SEO friendly" content
- Conducting SEO audits

Ski Representative

Directski.com (The Winter Holiday Company) is seeking outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic individuals with a passion for the slopes who are not afraid of hard work and commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with season start up - liaising with hoteliers, ski shops and resort suppliers. Set standards for the season ahead and ensure the resort is prepared for our customer's arrival.
- Escorting and supervising the timely arrival and departure of all guests to and from resort.
- Meet and greet our passengers on arrival and ensure their smooth transition at the airport.
- Responsible for organising and preparing an informative welcome speech, ensuring that all sales are maximized to achieve and wherever possible exceed targets set.
- Responsible for the safe-keeping and handling of all monies collected for services provided.
- Ensuring our guests are provided with the best level of customer service and dealing with all our customer queries and issues in an efficient and effective manner.
- Conducting and participating in a varied and profitable après ski programme.
- Completion and accuracy in all administration tasks.
- Complying with company standards and policies.
- Participating in resort close down.
Requirements:
- Energetic and flexible with a hands on approach.
- Independent with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
- Skiers and snowboarders.
- Strong confident customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven sales experience.
- Good organisational and IT skills.
Preferable:
- Ability to speak German, Italian, French or Spanish.
- Experience in the Ski Industry.
- Full clean driving license.

Directski.com is now established as one of the top ten ski tour operators from the UK and Ireland. We have experienced an unprecedented growth rate over the last nine years going from strength to strength. We now look after the holiday requirements of almost 40,000 skiers spread over nearly 40 ski resorts through Europe, the US and Canada with a huge variety of accommodation on offer.

We consider each of our applicants personally before placing them to a resort that suits their personality, interests and ability. Your feedback is of the utmost importance to us, you are our eyes and ears on the ground and we relentlessly aim to improve our practices inline with your views. Throughout the season we are in constant contact with all of our resort teams so even when the going gets really tough you will always have a support system in place. In fact, the majority of our overseas staff return year on year, a true testimony of our work ethic and practices.

I have completed the application process, what happens next?
Once an application is submitted, we carefully review to ensure that all of our requirements are met and more importantly that a candidate is right for the job. Suitable candidates will be invited to attend one of our interview days and shortly after which will be contacted and told whether they've been successful or not! If successful, you'll be sent a contract with full details and terms of employment which you'll be asked to return within 7days along with a €100/£90 commitment bond which will be returned in full at the end of the season.

How long is the winter season?
Our season begins at the end of December and goes right through until the end of March. It'll be a little longer if you're placed in France where you'll finish up in mid April. You'll need to be available to work for us throughout the full season, bearing in mind that you'll usually arrive in resort for training and resort set up at the beginning of December.
Will I be trained to do the job?
Of course! All of our reps will be given full training on all aspects of the job prior to the season commencing. Our training course will be held in one of our featured ski resorts for 6/7 days so rest assured you'll be fully prepared for whatever the season has in store for you.
Are my travel costs to and from resort included?
Yes, we'll cover all your travel costs to and from resort.
Am I insured?
We provide travel insurance for all our overseas staff which includes winter sports cover. We also recommend that you apply for a European Health Insurance Card before you travel!
What is the accommodation like?
We provide accommodation for all staff working in resort. Typically it will be a self catering studio apartment which you may share with one of your team colleagues, so be prepared to bunk in!
Will I be given a uniform?
An extremely stylish uniform will be issued to all our overseas staff which you can wear with pride all through the season!
What sort of hours will I be working?
If a 9-5 job is what you're after then this is not the job for you, be under no illusions it is hard work! You will be required at times to work some very long hours especially on an arrival day. Bags of enthusiasm, patience and resilience will be needed but your efforts will be rewarded when you're enjoying some of the world's best skiing.
How much time will I get to spend on the mountain?
Your main priority is to ensure that your customers are happy and content but providing you are highly organised, you can have plenty of time on the slopes.

What's included in the package?
A competitive salary along with an extremely attractive commission structure on all in-resort sales! In addition, you'll receive a lift pass and use of quality ski equipment for the entire season. Full travel and medical insurance, plus a generous 5% family and friends discount on our ski holidays is also included and of course, more importantly, a bed for you to rest your head at night!
How many other Directski.com reps will I work alongside?
We have a strong and capable team of over 30 overseas staff scattered around our resorts in Europe and North America, however you'll find that most of our resorts will be manned by a sole representative with the full support and back-up of a line manager close by.
